Name: Stormclaw
Past/Future Names: Stormkit/Stormpaw
Gender: Tom
Clan: SpringClan
Moons: About 25? An experienced warrior's age, whatever that is.
Position: I would like him to be deputy...please?
Appearance: His fur is a light, sandy ginger/brown colour that could be described as light gold with his back, the back of his head and his tail beign more of a darker browny-ginger that is crossed by a few ginger tabby stripes. His face, underbelly and haunches are the usual sandy brown colour though. This tom's eyes are a light amber colour that could be called yellowy or orangey, depending on the light. They are not abnormally large eyes but big enough. His build is strong and muscular with broad shoulders that hint at his good fighting skills.
Personality: Unlike his appearance might suggest, Stormclaw is not a harsh or arrogant cat. He is strong in his beliefs, and stays faithful and loyal to those he cares for but will not scold a cat unnessecarily. The tom has high expectations of every cat, and tries to see their potential as well as what they are now. He cares deeply for a few cats but for those particular felines he would go to the ends of the world for. He also likes to have a bit of fun with the apprentices, and loves to tease them. This is not to say that he is a push-over though, because Stormclaw can be strict when the situation calls for it, but as long as you're not on his bad side, you have nothing to fear.
History: Stormclaw, then Stormkit, was born to two normal SpringClan cats, Morninglight and Oakleaf, and brought up as one would expect. He had a sister named Lightkit but she dissapeared one night not far into their apprenticeship and was never found. As a result, he spent a moon of his apprenticeship constantly searchign the territory for her, long after even his weeping mother had given up and eventually found a few of her hairs caught on a bramble bush and a scent leading out of Clan territory. He spent a long night there, shocked but wonderous. Why had she left? Where was she now? Eventually, come dawn, Stormpaw was forced to conclude that she had left the Clan of her own will and was lost to him forever. It was a betrayal, of the worst kind but at least he new she was safe. Mentally, he wished her well, wherever her journey led her to, and returned to camp in higher spirits than he had been for a moon. Although he never told anyone she had deserted them, he was content. It was time for a fresh start.
From that day on, Stormpaw trained harder than ever to become a warrior his Clan could be proud of and sure enough, he earned his warrior name at the same time as his denmates, regardless of the fact he had lost a moon of learning by searching for his sister. Soon he had earned his first apprentice, a young she-cat named Creampaw with whom he was very close. Sadly, shortly after recieving her warrior name of Creamfur and left the Clan in the dead of night. Once again, Stormclaw searched far and wide for her, tracking her scent all the way out of the Clan this time as he was determined not to loose her so easily as he had his sister but it was in vain. When he found her she was tucked up in a Twoleg barn, bearing the kits of a Loner named Tuss. He was heartbroken at this second betrayal of loyalty and ran straight back to camp. Once again, he told no-one of her whereabouts and held a vigil he knew to be false for her once the Clan gave up and assumed she was dead. Stormclaw savagely told himself it didn't matter, as she was dead to him anyway, but in his heart he knew this was the worst thing she could have done. Now two of the cats closest to him had betrayed him and deserted the Clan. He was hurt deeply by this and vowed to be even more loyal to SpringClan, determind that nothing would tear him away.
Eventually the hurt faded and his old deputy died in a fight with a badger. He was named deputy that Moonhigh and has been faithfully serving his Clan ever since. All is well at the moment but as they say, bad things come in threes. His sister had deserted, and so had his apprentice. In his darkest moments, Stormclaw can only look at the cats around him, wondering who might be next.

Darting foreward to meet her he grasped her tightly by the scruff and yanked her behind the rock, out of the bear's view. There was no doubt in his mind that they would have to run soon though; the bears were fairly smart, or as smart as anything not a cat could be.
"What were you doing, you clumsy furball?" He hissed as quietly as he could for being furious. Not that being furious was anything special for Adderpaw. Seeing the pain in her brown eyes he softened his tone a little to add gruffly, "How bad is it? Can you still run?" The dark ginger tom risked a glance around the edge of the rock to see the bear scenting the air and he hoped she could run because he had a bad feeling they would have to. |
