Twas' the night before Christmas, and I'm running away from my parents,
Who wants me to dress warmly for some of my errands.
There was a clatter in the kitchen, and they whirled around,
Enableing me to sneak out quietly, without making a sound.
Slipping away to the mailbox in the glistening white snow,
Watching as the dancing snowflakes put up a show.
Suddenly a strong wind blew up from nowhere,
The coldness making my skin sting everywhere.
Looking up into the foggy sky,
I couldn't believe the view that met my eyes.
Outlined against the silver clouds,
Were a sleigh driven by nine reindeer, without making a sound.
I knew that picture anywhere I go,
it was the man in red that originated in the North Pole!
The thoughts started whirling around in my head.
I didn't want to think, so I watched instead.
The sled was approaching closer to me,
close enough for me to see,
a man dressed in red, with snowy white beard,
And a red and white cap pulled over his ears.
I watched in amazement as he pulled out some stuff,
It seems that there will NEVER be enough!
There's pencils, erasers, and tinsles, too,
there's even a stuffie of a kangroo!
I stretched my hands over to touch them, but santa stopped me,
Saying that i can only see.
I pouted, saying that I am old enough,
To just TOUCH some of this interesting stuff.
But he shook his head, and said i need a parents approvel,
before any objects can be subjected to removal.
Glaring at him, I remained my calm composture,
When suddenly some gas escaped out of my rear.
A laugh escaped out of santa, a laugh that's so loud!
A laugh that drowned out any other sounds.
I looked around myself in worry,
And whsipered "hurry hurry!"
Then, I saw my parents running towards me,
holding the sweater for me to see.
I turned, and saw santa running away in glee,
And his voice boomed "Ha ha! You'll never be free!"
