Sorrowsong nodded, embarresment bubbling up deep inside her. "I'll be alright." she meowed. She paused. "Thanks, Moonkiss." she added. "You're one of the few cats who actually accept me for who I am, not for who my mother was." Sorrowsong had to smile a bit as Snowstar plopped down. It's hard being a leader. Sorrowsong thought to herself.

Moonkiss purred, glad that her efforts were paying off. Also that she was able to help a little bit, even if it was in a very small way. "Of course!" She mewed brightly, hoping to raise Sorrowsong's spirits a little. The deputy couldn't stand to see her friend so upset. "It's no problem at all! And that's not true, you know it's not! Well, I hope so anyways." Moonkiss continued in a low voice, "Listen, no body blames you for who your mother is, trust me. And if they do, well, then that's just really shallow of them. Those who judge really aren't worth it, so just forget about them." Moonkiss couldn't help sneaking a glance over at Snowstar and Wishpaw. The apprentice looked truly petrified. You would think that she was meeting death itself with her knees knocking together and her eyes bright with fear.

Sorrowsong shrugged. "From the begainning." she meowed. Then she glanced over at her leader and Wishpaw, and had to suppress a sigh. Wishpaw is always getting into trouble (she is, right?)! But Sorrowsong can't help but feel sorry for the blue apprentice. Wishpaw did look frightened, after all. She shot a glance over at Snowstar. She hoped that Snowstar won't be too hard on her. Her golden eyes once again darted over to Wishpaw, and she can't help but shudder. She would really, really hate to be in Wishpaw's paws.

((Sorry, I didn't completely understand what Sorrowsong meant by "From the beginning." I'm guessing that she meant she knew it wasn't true from the beginning. I may still be wrong. If I am, I can always edit this post later. XD))
Moonkiss smiled at her friend and purred with satisfaction. "Good," She meowed firmly, giving a little nod. The deputy followed Sorrowsong's gaze over to where Wishpaw and Snowstar sat together, her tail flicking nervously as she heard Wishpaw mutter a few inaudible words and waited patiently for Snowstar's reply. She couldn't help but to wonder what the leader's reaction would be. "I would really hate to be her right now," Moonkiss muttered under her breath, trying to change the subject. "Did you see how angry Snowstar was before?" She made sure to keep her voice low, so that Snowstar wouldn't hear. Even though it was Wishpaw who was in huge trouble, Moonkiss found herself holding her own breath, her heart went out to the young apprentice.

Sorrowsong nodded. "Angry? She wan't angry. She was furious!" she whispered to Moonkiss. "I hope that Snowstar won't be too hard on her. After all, Wishpaw was just an apprentice." Her golden eyes trailed to the floor. She can understand why Wishpaw was so scared. Heck, if she was facing Snowstar right now, she would be scared, too.

Moonkiss glanced away, not wanting Snowstar to see her looking their way. Instead, she concentrated down on her paws. "I don't think I gave Violetpaw the proper punishment." She meowed, "She pretty much did exactly what Wishpaw did, but I let her get away with it, just as long as she fed the elders." I'm too soft, The deputy thought to herself, I let her walk all over me. Look at Violetpaw, who got away with barely any punishment at all, then look at Wishpaw, who's trembling in fear. Both apprentices deserve the same punishment, yet you let yours off easy. Moonkiss nearly shuddered, she couldn't imagine punishing her apprentice, she just couldn't. She would avoid it whenever possible. To what limit? There's got to be some point to which it would be appropriate to punish her. But of course, Moonkiss knew she would never be able to live with herself. Violetpaw was more of a friend than an apprentice. And besides, what could she do that would be so horrible? "Well, she doesn't really deserve a punishment." The deputy meowed firmly, more to herself than anyone. "It was an accident."

"You're just saying that because you didn't punish Violetpaw, arn't you?" Sorrowsong meowed to Moonkiss in amusement, leading them away from Wishpaw and Snowstar. She sat down, her tail curled over her paws. "I understand. I wouldn't dream of punishing an apprentice too, if I ever had one." Her golden eyes blinked slowly as she surveyed the camp, skirting away from Snowstar and Wishpaw. "But I wonder... what will Snowstar do?"

Dreamwish padded to the fresh-kill pile and settled her squirrel and pigeon onto the unusually large pile of prey. Then she padded to the Frosty Clearing and, she wasn't surprised when she saw two apprentices sitting infront of their leader. "Let me guess," Dreamwish meowed amusingly, "this is something about Wishpaw, right?"

Snowstar took a deep breath. "Look, Wishpaw... I've decided that I don't wish to yell at you." She sighed, looking at her apprentices face. "But everyone here that knows what you've done can say that you have, indeed, done something wrong." Her tail lashed and went down to a slow swivel. Tiredness was taking over her. "I will speak with my dearest Deputy and together, we will decide punishments for you apprentices." She flicked her tail at Moonkiss to follow. Her tail slunk down after it flicked, the end curving just enough to keep it off the ground. Her head fell, crestfallen by the part events. At least she had a faithful Deputy to help her.

Moonkiss laughed nervously, Sorrowsong had seen right through her. "Exactly," She admitted, looking down at her paws as she followed the other she-cat across the camp. Was it really that obvious? Still, it was a comfort to know that Sorrowsong understood how she felt. Spotting Dreamwish near them, the deputy flicked her tail in greeting and waved for her friend to join them. "That's right!" She meowed, her whiskers twitching in amusement. "Wishpaw's the one behind all this." Moonkiss sneaked a glance at Snowstar and Wishpaw and saw the leader beckon her over. "I think Snowstar needs me," The white she-cat told the others, already padding backwards towards the place where she was supposed to be. "I'll talk to you later, alright?" And with that, she turned tail and dashed over to Wishpaw's side. "Yes, Snowstar?"
Wishpaw lifted her head a little bit, finally able to meet her mentor's eyes. Maybe she would be able to get out of this alive after all. Snowstar seemed to have calmed down a little bit, for which Wishpaw sent a silent thanks up to StarClan. The shaking apprentice gave Moonkiss a little nod as the deputy arrived and took a seat beside her. She didn't want to say anything, for fear of picking out the wrong words.

Snowstar turned around, seeing Moonkiss seated beside her apprentice. She smiled lightly before it vanished. "Alone, if you please, my dear deputy." Her head fell back into place as she slunk to her den. Her tail flickered once before it fell silent, dragging behind her again.
((eh! i'm left muse-less-ness!!! D:))

Sorrowsong looked after the disappearing figure of Moonkiss, and took a mouse for herself, settling down near Dreamwish. "Wishpaw is always getting into trouble!" she meowed in amusement, taking a hungry gulp out of her mouse. Sorrowsong looked after Moonkiss and Snowstar. "I wonder what Snowstar wants with Moonkiss?" she wondered aloud, taking another hungry gulp out of her mouse. She didn't realize this before, but she was famished!

Dreamwish purred in amusement. "She is a good hunter though," She pointed out, "and she seems to have interest in everything." Dreamwish chose out the squirrel she caught and sat down beside Sorrowsong, wondering about what their leader wants with Moonkiss too.

((Windmist, do you think we'll need to start a new thread in the leader's den? If they're going to be talking for quite a long time, then that might be a good idea, but if it's just a quick chat, then we can just do it here. What do you think?))
Moonkiss nodded at Snowstar. "Of course." She meowed, following her leader into the den. Turning back, she gave Wishpaw a weak smile. She knew that Snowstar might ask about the apprentice's punishment and promised herself that she would try her best to make sure it wasn't too harsh. Moonkiss' kindness was one of her best qualities, but at some times, it could also be one of her worst. She knew that if she had any say in the matter, Wishpaw would be getting herself out of this mess quite easily as well, though maybe she didn't really deserve it. Sighing, the deputy seated herself at the entrance of the den and waited for Snowstar to speak.
Wishpaw watched as Snowstar and Moonkiss made their way towards the leader's den. The last she could see of the two she-cats were their tails flicking gracefully before disappearing completely beyond the stone walls. She assured herself that if Moonkiss had anything to do with this, she would be able to survive her punishment without a problem. Maybe she would get lucky after all.

Sorrowsong nodded. "I think that her good traits outnumber her bad traits." she meowed in approval. Sorrowsong shifted her gaze to Wishpaw. "If Moonkiss had a say in Wishpaw's punishment, I'd say that Wishpaw will get off of this lightly. Don't you?" She turned to Dreamwish.
